The RX features a 295 hp version of the 3.5 L V6 engine which is mated to an 8-speed auto box. Whilst the RX 450h hybrid version adds an electric motor which takes the combined power to 308 hp.
In 2017 Lexus announced a new seven-seater model called the RX 450h L which is 11 cm longer than the standard model but has the same wheelbase.
The RX and RX L received updates in May 2019 with a newer Safety System and new touchscreen infotainment interfaces.
