The Flying Spur was launched in 2005 with an update in 2013 where the “Continental” was removed from the name. It marked a distancing from the two door continental GT range which focused more on sporting credentials than the day to day practicality of a 4 door luxury saloon.
The flying Spur is an immersive experience with each car hand crafted over 130 hours in Bentley’s Crewe factory. 10m2 of lacquered, polished wood encircle the occupants in a mirror matched luxurious finish. With the driver and passengers at the forefront of the designer’s minds throughout the design process, the tiniest of touches and adjustments are taken into consideration. This makes a Bentley feel as simple, intuitive and luxurious as possible, with each intimate detail being taken care of in its design and construction. This approach extends over to the cars technology and should enhance every experience but never overpower it.
With the options of Bentleys famous W12 Engine or a V8 it can accelerate 0–60mph in less than 5 seconds and reach a top speed over 180mph.
