The 944 was produced in both coupé and convertible styles and offers excellent value in a sports car. Many feared wrongly, that the 944 was doomed to spend its life in the shadow of the 911. But the 944 is a great car in its own right, with its 250 brake horse power and outstanding handling. The 1985 turbo 944 had more raw performance than the 911.
For a long time the 944 was Porsche’s most popular car until the arrival of the Carrera and the Boxster. Over 163000 units have hit the roads during it production run. Many are still on the roads today and qualify for our classic car insurance.
