It’s the cars that make an impression on you when you’re young that stay with you. For me, it was the blobeye Impreza. My uncle had one when I was a youngster which is probably the route of my obsession. It was just the coolest car in my eyes. The burble of the flat 4 and noise of the turbo. I still remember the first passenger ride in it. It was the dream car from then. When I finally bought my own, after doing some research, I realised the JDM spec cars were the best. It’s quite a different car to the UK spec and with equal length headers, a very different sound too - but couple it with a nice exhaust and it sounds awesome. Other JDM extras include: twinscroll turbo, quick steering rack, shorter gear ratios, 8k Rev limit, DCCD gearbox, automatic intercooler water spray and all important rear windscreen wiper.
