About the BMW iX
Announced in November 2021, the BMW iX introduced a whole new level of excitement for the brand. With an innovative operating system, intelligent kidney panel and futuristic interior space, it produced a fresh appearance for BMW i and BMW X models alike.
The headlight and rear light design are also the slimmest ever showcased on a BMW model, alongside an iconic split headlight introduced on the BMW i7. At the centre, an intelligent panel located within the kidney grille conceals camera technology used for the car’s many configurable driving assistance settings.
Depending on the model selected, it’s possible to achieve an all-electric range of 254-370 miles (correct at the time of writing), alongside the possibility of achieving 10-80% charge from 35 minutes at a high-power charging station. xDrive40 models offer a power output of 326hp, achieving 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds. For those who enjoy a sporty driving experience, the M Performance M60 model produces 540hp and whets the appetite of performance enthusiasts by accomplishing 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
From 2022, the BMW iX xDrive40 started at £69,000.
