Nissan Pulsar GTi-R Insurance

Nissan produced the Pulsar GTi-R between 1990 and 1994 in order to enter rallying – a certain number had to be produced for the road for each manufacturer to compete. What was produced was a 2.0 litre turbocharged car, 4 wheel drive, large rear wing and bonnet scoop. A completely different car to the standard model.

This car was of the same mould as the original Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Lancer who they competed against in the race series. 2 distinct models of the car were produced, one with the usual luxuries, and the other stripped of things like air conditioning, electric windows, and ABS. A close ratio gearbox made the Pulsar GTi quite a handful and even now we need new customers to have had some performance car driving experience when using our Nissan insurance.

A Nismo version was produced in very limited numbers but the vast majority of owners have modified their cars in some way, whether this be engine, brakes,suspension, bodywork, etc. We are perfectly happy with this but just need to know in advance any changes that have been made in order that there are no issues in the event of a claim.

Pulsar GTi-R cars were built for the domestic Japanese market but the manufacturing date was a boom time for UK importers to bring special cars over. Quite a few of these cars still exist in good condition and we are very happy to look at them with our Japanese Import car insurance. We are extremely well known in this field and have been insuring these cars since they first arrived.

If you have a particularly good example, do very limited mileage, the car is kept securely (in a garage for example), and is your pride and joy, then we are able to look at covering them under our cherished car insurance schemes.
