Subaru Impreza
The Subaru Impreza has now been with us for 20 years and it’s distinctive boxer 4 engine has powered cars from a 1500cc road car to their rally car monsters. Although some cars come with front wheeled drive the majority have 4 wheeled drive, a system perfected by Subaru. Standard engines were provided in 1.6 to 2.0 litre sizes until the 2nd generation models arrived in 2000 with the ability to spec a 2.5 litre engine.
2000 onwards saw headlight styling that gave rise to the nicknames ‘Bug Eye’, ‘Blob Eye’ and ‘Hawk Eye’. Each of these has a huge following and owners are extremely proud of whichever version they have. 3rd and 4th generation models came after 2007 and we are keen to quote on these also.
Subaru Impreza Wagon
We also include the Impreza Wagon in our standard Subaru insurance category even though these can come with extremely potent engines. Arguably more of a ‘family’ car, the Impreza Wagon is viewed by us as a potentially lower risk and our experience over 15 years has proved this to be the case.
Many Subarus, especially the earlier models, were exported from Japan as grey imports. We are experts in japanese import insurance and will be aware of any modifications made to the car. We also insure UK models and have specific schemes for these.
