About the all-electric BMW iX M60
BMW has already proven it can deliver style, comfort, and performance in a luxury SUV with the xDrive40 and xDrive50 editions. The iX M60 takes these qualities to a new level by combining refinement with added power and sportiness, without compromising on practicality.
With so much space for battery packs, the iX M60 offers a range of up to 348 miles which is impressive for a luxury SUV. Official BMW figures state that a recharge up to 93 miles takes just 10 minutes, and an 80% recharge less than 35 minutes at public IONITY High Power Charging Stations.
BMW has trimmed every kilo possible off the iX M60’s body structure while maximising body rigidity with a mixture of aluminium and carbon fibre-reinforced plastic. This helps the all-wheel drive powertrain produce 619bhp and return incredible performance of 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds – the same as the X5M Competition – and a limited top speed of 155mph.
Despite its size, the iX M60 handles superbly, and the steering is precise due to air-spring suspension for its enormous 22-inch alloy front and back wheels. The electric steering works on both axles, with the rears turning in the opposite direction to the fronts for a shorter turning circle at low speeds and increased stability.
Released in 2022, the BMW iX M60 starts from £122,775.
