The Škoda Kodiaq is a mid-sized SUV which shares elements with the other VW and Seat models. It’s available as a 7-seater with the vRS being the top model.
The Kodiaq was introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show in September 2016, and the first deliveries to customers were made in February 2017. At the time of writing, the vRS Kodiaq is the fastest 7-seat SUV ever to be timed on the famous Nürburgring in Germany, completing a lap in an impressive time of 9 minutes and 29.8 seconds.
With the vRS you get a powerful diesel engine, standard four-wheel drive, and a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Also it comes with adaptive dampers, larger 20in wheels and the usual vRS body styling. It is a sensible SUV with its practicality, seating options, and space – that just happens to be fairly quick as well.
Fun fact: The name “Kodiaq” refers to a large brown bear, which lives on the island of the same name off the south coast of Alaska.
